So, what do you do, exactly?
We are now fully immersed in the season of tricks and treats, and donning masks or costumes of some sort. So, who are you going to be?
Well, if you’re in the DC area (“Washington” or “Washington, DC” to outsiders) out mingling with new folks, the question you’ll more likely hear first is, “So, what do you do?” And that’s not just relegated to the season of candy corn.
So, what, exactly, do I do?
I’m a Marketing Art Director.
Okay, fess-up. Did you just nod your head, ‘yes.’ And think, uh-huh, ‘interesting,’ as though you were standing in front of a piece of art, not quite sure how to describe it?
It’s okay. Let me break it down.
The clients I’ve worked with range from ongoing retainer-based work, to one-off projects (a.k.a. urgent “Design 911,” next-day needs). From solo business owners just getting started, to the holiday catalog for Discovery Channel. From package design and online banner ads for National Geographic, to long-term work with a school district in Chicago. From volunteer design work for causes I support, to photo shoots across the country with Marriott International. Even getting presidents of associations in DC re-elected with fresh marketing materials.
Here’s my current menu of services (and #16 is _____ ):
Finally, as many of you know, I also share a year-round ‘treat,’ as well as a ‘Thanksgiving’ one for current clients (so, hop on board!). It’s important to me to show gratitude for folks entrusting me with their creative needs. And I love the thrill of getting to creatively, and successfully, solve those marketing challenges for them. For... you?
So, no wigs, capes, or lightsabers here.
