None of the above?
“What we do well is a result of tapping into what we love.”
I recently read a great article on the journey of Rachel Maddow. In it, she blurted out a core insight of hers: “I just love explaining things.” And I’d argue, she’s very good at doing just that.
I believe when we tap the thing we love — that thing that comes to us with ease — it can manifest in amazing, sometimes unexpected, ways. Also, two words: Martha Graham.
For me? There are two things I love:
Organization
Figuring things out
This translates well into my design, and marketing art direction. But it also helps me organize spaces — both digital and physical.
I’ve been known to tackle a DIY project or two. Busting down some drywall. Demoing and rebuilding my own bathroom, kitchen, and creating a new walk-in closet (learning how to build a subfloor).
And I just finished a rewarding, and tasty, year-three of raised-bed gardening. Learning what works and what doesn’t.
How has this ‘organizing and figuring things out’ has manifested for my clients?
I’ve helped clients tame their gmail accounts.
I’ve helped clients organize file-sorting on their computers.
I’ve helped clients better-organize their office space to support how they want to use it.
I’ve helped clients freshen up their own, existing, files (PPT, Word, templates).
I’ve helped clients find innovative ways to make their marketing stand out.
I’m like a combo of: Marie Kondo, This Old House, and Paper Source.
Try me out.
How can I help you organize and better use your space?
